Dorn, [Johann Albert] Bernhard (*11. Mai (= 29. April a.St.) 1805 in Scheuerfeld, †31. Mai (= 19. Mai a.St.) 1881 in Sankt Petersburg). - Russ. Schreibweise: Boris Andreevič Dorn (Дорн, Борис Андреевич). - Deutsch-russischer Orientalist. Trat 1829 eine Professur für morgenländische Sprachen in Charkow an (nominell war er dort bereits seit 1826 Professor). 1836 Professor für asiatische Geschichte am Orient-Institut in Sankt Petersburg, 1839 Mitglied der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Sankt Petersburg. Seit 1842 Direktor des Asiatischen Museums und seit 1843 Oberblibliothekar der kaiserlichen Bibliothek.
