Biodata

Geiger, Wilhelm Ludwig (*21. Juli 1856 in Nürnberg, †2. Sept. 1943 in Neubiberg bei München). - Deutscher Iranist und Indologe. 1891 Professor in Erlangen, 1920 bis zu seiner Emeritierung 1924 Professor für Indologie und Iranistik in München. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt lag nach 1900 vor allem im Bereich der Buddhismuskunde.
